This section enables you look at pictures from the past, present and future which includes a virtual cruise that takes you along the Northern Reaches as if the canal was already restored. You can also look at pictures at restoration work that has already happened through working parties and a webcam will be installed once work has started on site.

Past
All of the images within the Past section belong to the Margaret Duff Collection. The Lancaster Canal Restoration Partnership would like to thank Margaret for granting permission to show these images on this website. All images are copyright and may not be copied or used for any purpose without permission.

We also have a fascinating video clip of a horse drawn boat at Hest Bank on the Lancaster canal in the 1930's. Click to see more information and the video clip.

Present

All of the images within the Present section belong to the 645 Photographic Group. The 645 Photographic Group are based in south Lakeland, and produce works of exceptional quality. As a whole, the 645'ers have generously agreed to keep a photographic record of the restoration as it progresses.
